Folk duo Geny & Matt return with a poetic and delicate new track: « Le vol du Caporal », available on all major streaming platforms.

With its acoustic folk tones, stripped-down arrangement, and vivid storytelling, this second single from their upcoming debut EP highlights the duo’s natural vocal chemistry and emotional resonance. « Le vol du Caporal » also marks a key milestone in their musical journey, as it is their very first co-written song.

The track draws inspiration from the striking Red-winged Blackbird, affectionately nicknamed “the Corporal” due to the bird’s bright orange shoulder patches, reminiscent of military insignia. Through this metaphor, Geny & Matt explore themes of freedom, instinct, and artistic flight.

Sung in French, this single reflects the bilingual nature of their project, shaped by the duo’s shared background and musical influences.
