Geny & Matt form a musical duo whose complicity goes far beyond the stage. Together for several years, their adventure took a turn in 2018 with a series of concerts throughout Quebec. Initially focusing on rearranged covers, they quickly developed an original and personal repertoire.

The pandemic was a catalyst, with Apéros Chansons & Vinos, their weekly online live concert series. These performances strengthened their bond with the public, accumulating over 50,000 views and enabling them to fund their first EP via Patreon. Their interactive approach has become a pillar of their artistic identity.

In the spirit of sharing, they also created Les Découvertes de Geny & Matt (Geny & Matt’s Discoveries), a platform to showcase emerging Quebec talent.

Their unique style skilfully fuses folk, alternative and pop, creating Geny & Matt’s own signature sound. Geny, influenced by jazz, funk, pop and disco, and Matt, inspired by ’90s grunge and rock, together create music that is both comforting and memorable.

Their songs explore introspective and emotional themes while remaining accessible to a wide audience. On stage, their energy and musical complicity are unrivalled, captivating every audience member.
