The summer monthly series begins! “Les découvertes de Geny & Matt – en shows” welcomes Émilie Bédard and Lyre Birds on Sunday, June 14.

Geny & Matt are proud to announce the launch of the concert series “Les découvertes de Geny & Matt – en shows” taking place on Sunday, June 14, at the brand-new performance venue Bar Le St-Paul in Côte-Saint-Paul.

To kick off this monthly summer gathering, the first evening will feature, alongside the hosts, two unique musical worlds: Émilie Bédard and Lyre Birds.

In an intimate, human, and authentic atmosphere, audiences will discover these emerging artists through 30-minute performances that are sure to captivate one after another. For this first edition, Geny & Matt will offer a performance filled with the chemistry and warmth that define their stage presence.

A few words about the guest artists

 

Émilie Bédard

Originally from Gatineau, Émilie Bédard is a guitarist, singer-songwriter, and performer. She studied classical guitar at the conservatory in her hometown. After performing across Québec in bars and festivals, including opening performances for France D’Amour and Marjo, she now presents her indie-folk universe infused with classical, rock, pop, and folk influences. Her second EP, Rafales, was released in February 2026 with Disques Passeport.

Accompanied by her guitar, Émilie Bédard promises an emotionally rich performance at the very first edition of Les découvertes de Geny & Matt – en shows.

Lyre Birds

Lyre Birds is a lyrical folk project inspired by lyrebirds, known for their ability to echo the sounds of the world around them. For Lyre Birds, some experiences are too vast, intimate, or intense to be expressed through ordinary language alone.

Through music filled with poetry, symbolism, and melodic landscapes, Lyre Birds gives voice to the mystery, beauty, and depth woven into the human experience. Their performance as part of Les découvertes de Geny & Matt – en shows promises to be a memorable experience for those who feel deeply.
