The duo Geny & Matt is pleased to announce the fourth concert of its series, Les découvertes de Geny & Matt – en shows, taking place on Sunday, September 20, 2026, at Bar Le St-Paul in Côte-Saint-Paul, Montréal.
For this fourth edition, Geny & Matt will welcome VANWHO and the duo Gab Calille & Steph Prud’homme. Audiences will discover two musical worlds where folk, grunge, and various alternative influences come together. The evening will also feature a performance by Geny & Matt.
Les découvertes de Geny & Matt – en shows is an accessible cultural concert series that provides a platform for emerging local artists. Musical discovery is at the heart of every performance.

About the Guest Artists

VANWHO
Created in 2009 by Vanessa Boivin-Drolet, VANWHO is a bilingual musical project they describe as Slow Burn. Their Alt-Pop sound blends folk and grunge influences through contemplative, ethereal, intimate, and atmospheric songs.
VANWHO gained wider recognition after appearing in three episodes of La Voix in 2018 as part of Alex Nevsky’s team. They were also a semifinalist at the Festival international de la chanson de Granby in 2021 and appeared on the television show Faites comme chez vous in 2015.
Since meeting producer Olivier Girard, with whom they co-produce their music, several of VANWHO’s French-language songs have received airplay on SiriusXM, Stingray, and various community and commercial radio stations throughout Quebec. Since the beginning of the project, VANWHO has performed more than 350 concerts across Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom, and Europe.
Through their music, VANWHO invites listeners to explore different dimensions of existence. Their artistic universe emphasizes the importance of the present moment, coming together, and what we choose to make of it collectively.

Gab Calille & Steph Prud’homme
Gab Calille and Steph Prud’homme have been making music together for more than 15 years. Seasoned buskers, they have performed in a wide variety of settings, from Montréal’s underground transit system to the boardwalks of the Maritimes, as well as across Western Canada, at the Festival Folk de Saint-Jérôme, and in numerous bars and cafés throughout Montréal.
The duo offers an intimate and captivating performance featuring original songs at the crossroads of folk and grunge, carried by an enchanting voice and melodic guitar.
Gab and Steph are also involved in several other musical projects, including Tugawar, a grunge-rock band performing original material; Free Cats, a folk busking duo combining covers and original songs; and Remnants, an R.E.M. tribute band.
